The 35th Annual Wammie Music Awards, presented by The MusicianShip, will be the main event of Wammies Music Week, scheduled for Wednesday, March 29th - Sunday, April 2nd, 2023. In addition to the awards show on April 1st, this exciting week will feature music industry panels, guest speakers, special performances, a pre-event VIP Gala, and film screening, at designated venues across The District. Spotify and WUSA 9 have signed on as major sponsors for the 2023 season!
Wammie Music Awards will be bestowed upon a multi-genre “playlist’ of top DMV Music talent, representing Electronic, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Go-Go, Bluegrass, Country, Gospel, Rock and many other categories. New General and Community Interest Award categories will include Best Music Video, Best Youth Artist-Group, Music Trailblazer Award, and the Lifetime Achievement Award!
