Wammie Weekend is a 2-Day Experience, brought to you by The MusicianShip, built of an all-day music conference and The 2020 Wammie Awards! Wammie Weekend is about uniting DMV musicians, artists, and creatives to engage in learning, networking, artistic celebration, and unforgettable music experiences, curated by our region’s music industry professionals!

Our Day Conference will take place at Culture House, with 15,000+ square feet of artful space for us to take over in Southwest Washington, DC, Culture House is an events venue unlike any other in the District. Take your pick between 12 different music panels as we present more than 45 music industry professionals from the DMV giving you hours of music education.

The 2020 Wammies Day Conference Tracks will focus on Music Business, Music Media & Technology, and Music Impact & Culture from 12-4pm with LIVE MUSIC PERFORMANCES from our Wammie Weekend DJs & Performers from 12 – 7pm.

DC is the beneficiary of world-class music creatives who enrich and inspire millions of people around the world. In an effort to celebrate, honor, and uplift these creative heroes, The MusicianShip, supported by the DC Commission on the Arts & Humanities, has undertaken the critical task of preserving The Wammie Awards. The Wammie Awards is a 32-year-old award show aimed at recognizing DC-area artists and musicians for their artistic works. We have re-introduced this storied community event, upholding its values, while infusing it with meaningful innovations and a contemporary flare that includes, and enriches, a diverse audience of art enthusiasts with the help of organizations like EventsDC and more!
