Wammie Weekend is a 2-Day Experience, brought to you by The MusicianShip, built of an all-day music conference and The 2019 Wammie Awards! Wammie Weekend is about uniting DMV musicians, artists, and creatives to engage in learning, networking, artistic celebration, and unforgettable music experiences, curated by your favorite music industry professionals!

Our Day Conference will take place at Decades DC, across all 4 floors, each floor offering a different track of music knowledge sharing. Take your pick, or mix and match your sessions as we’ll present over 60 music industry professionals from DC offering over 20 hours of music education in tracks for Music Business, Music Media, and Music Impact! Need a break? Head to the rooftop where our Wammie Weekend performers will be hitting the stage all day long. Our jam sessions will even give artists an opportunity to sign up and perform with the house band in front of music industry decision makers.

DC is the beneficiary of world-class music creatives who enrich and inspire millions of people around the world. In an effort to celebrate, honor, and uplift these creative heroes, The MusicianShip, supported by the DC Commission on the Arts & Humanities, has undertaken the critical task of preserving The Wammie Awards. The Wammie Awards is a 31-year-old award show aimed at recognizing DC-area artists and musicians for their artistic works. We will re-introduce this storied community event, upholding its values, while infusing it with meaningful innovations and a contemporary flare that includes, and enriches, a diverse audience of art enthusiasts.
